"My photo images combine two things I have always loved: architecture and kaleidoscopes." -
says the artist, Marika Barnett. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Ms. Barnett has developed her
artistic talents by studying, teaching and working in Europe, Hawaii and mainland USA.
Through the lens of her camera the artist distills the essence of common architectural
forms and then employs mirror images to create animated compositions. Her photos for the
Harvard-Circle are currently being published and her photo-composition of the Boston
Architectural Center is on the cover of the prestigious center's 1996 catalogue. The B.A.C.
image also found it's way into the 1997 Geometry Book of publisher McDougal-Littell. Last
December, Ms. Barnett's images covered 10 pages of the most respected political and cultural
periodical of Hungary, the "Beszélô". Ms. Barnett's work is currently on display in
galleries and private collections throughout the Northeast, Georgia, Florida, and California.
Several New England corporations have also included her work in their collections as well
as commissioning private compositions. She is also represented by Boston Corporate Art,
Foliograph Galleries of Washington, Corporate Art Directions of New York.
The photos are available as very fine quality Fine Art Prints (using the IRIS Printer).
Sizes vary from 8x10" to 32x40". The prints are also available on Rag-paper,
